How do I come up with a good fundraising idea?
Anything goes, so be creative! Two of the most popular ways of raising money are getting sponsored to do something and holding a fundraising event.
You can raise funds being sponsored for almost anything. Use your imagination, and be as ambitious as you like (but remember, safety first!). Here are some ideas to get you started: :
- Fun runs and bike rides
- Walks and hikes
- Wearing a banana costume every day for a week
- Giving up chocolate for a year (yes really!)
To raise your sponsorship, we recommend setting up a page on JustGiving.
You can also use the following sponsorship form.
From fashion shows to Fairtrade banana jousting, our supporters constantly amaze us with the weird and wonderful events they hold to fundraise. Whilst the possibilities are endless, some popular ideas include:
- Bake sales and coffee mornings
- Garden and dinner parties
- Chocolate or wine tasting sessions
- Trivia quizzes and raffles
Whatever you go for, there are lots of official promotional materials you could use to help make your event the biggest success. Fancy a five-foot inflatable Fairtrade banana? How about some bunting, official Fairtrade t-shirts, a short film to show, or just some promotional posters or leaflets? We can help with all of those. Visit our e-shop to browse through the options.
