Campaign Days 2008

 

Over 200 Fairtrade campaigners travelled from around the country to attend this year's campaign days in Sheffield and London.

They shared ideas and explored issues from Fairtrade myths to the future of Fairtrade. Guest speakers challenged and inspired delegates to think about Fairtrade and wider food issues.

A highlight in Sheffield was the video link up with Kojo a farmer from Kuapa Kokoo a cocoa cooperative in Ghana which part owns Divine Chocolate ltd. When asked by a campaigner what he wanted to say to the delegates, Kojo asked 'do you buy our chocolate?' - which was met with a resounding 'yes' and a round of applause from the crowd.

Fairtrade Fortnight Awards were presented by Harriet Lamb to Fairtrade groups for their outstanding work during Fairtrade Fortnight 2008, the winners and runners up can be found below.
