Fairtrade Fortnight Awards 2009

Thank you and congratulations for making it happen in Fairtrade Fortnight 2009.

Fairtrade Fortnight is unique in bringing together so many different people – campaigners, producers, shoppers, retailers and businesses – in so many different activities. But all have a common aim: to increase awareness and purchase of Fairtrade products and thus increase the benefits going back to marginalised producers and workers in developing countries.

The Fairtrade Fortnight Awards are our chance to recognise some of the amazing work of campaigners and supporters during the Fortnight. And this year, for the first time ever and with thanks to Shared Interest Foundation we have cash prizes available to re-invest in your campaigns.

The categories for entries are as follows:

Shared Interest is a co-operative lending society that aims to reduce poverty in the world by providing fair and just financial services. Shared Interest Foundation is the charitable arm of Shared Interest Society and was established to support disadvantaged producers by improving and developing the social impact of Shared Interest, widening access to fair finance, supporting the development of the fair trade movement, developing capacity within producer organisations and providing education and training. With thanks to Shared Interest Foundation for their support of the Fairtrade Fortnight Awards.
