Fairtrade Africa website launch
Fairtrade Africa (formerly African Fairtrade Network) has arrived and now you can share the vision and feel the passion of a movement that is transforming the lives of growers and producers.
You can do this by checking out the new website
www.fairtradeafrica.net.
It’s more than an inspirational experience, it’s an information portal.
Wondering how many tonnes of Fairtrade pineapples are available in Benin? Looking to find out how the Oromia Coffee Cooperative in Ethiopia used their Fairtrade Premium? All this and more is available at Fairtrade Africa’s new home.
Fairtradeafrica.net was designed for producer members of Fairtrade Africa for them to market and publicise new products, contract wins and explain how premium money has been invested.
The new website contains a product database to enable traders, licensees and retailers to search for products and producers in Africa. What’s more, they can view the results on a page where additional information such as harvest dates and who to contact for sales will be included. Helpfully, a Google map for each producer is also supplied so all business partners can quickly check out which region they are doing business in.
