Fairtrade Fortnight Awards 2008

The entries flooded in for this years Fairtrade Fortnight Awards, celebrating the wild and witty inventiveness and energy of Fairtrade campaigners all over the UK. From world record attempts to a bus pass tour with a blow up banana, the events were as original as ever. After careful consideration, the winners were chosen as:-

Outstanding Achievement Award - Renfrewshire Council
Best Outreach and Networking Campaign - Derby (Winner), Basildon & Dundee (Runners-up)
Most Imaginative Campaign - Ashbourne (Winner), Louth (Runner-up)
Best Media Campaign - Ashbourne (Winner), Guernsey (Runner-up)
Best Fairtrade Campaign by a school - Otley All Saints (Winner-Primary), Malmesbury (Winner-Secondary), McAuley High School (Runner-up)
