Swapping broomsticks for Fairtrade fashion

Emma Watson’s new range for People Tree is fantastic – and Fairtrade!

The 19 year old Harry Potter actress has spent a year collaborating with People Tree designers for this new range of clothes. The collection includes dresses, jumpers, jewellery plus much more and is aimed at bringing Fairtrade, organic and ethical fashion to a new generation.

80% of the clothes use 100% organic and Fairtrade cotton, and are handmade by Fairtrade groups from Bangladesh, India and Nepal. By buying Emma Watson’s collection you can ensure that the people who made the clothes are getting a fair price for their work.

Launched at the beginning of Fairtrade Fortnight 2010, many of the clothes are already sold out on the website and new lines are being introduced soon.

‘By buying these clothes you are changing someone’s life. It’s a really feel good thing to wear. You can feel good about yourself as you will look great and be changing lives’ says Emma.
