On the last Friday of each month, we come together with companies and supporters to bring attention to the farmers and workers around the world, in some of the poorest countries, who grow the food we eat and make the clothes we wear.

Get involved with July Fairtrade Friday

Latte, cappuccino or Americano—make sure you choose Fairtrade coffee. Around 125 million people worldwide depend on coffee for their livelihoods. They are mostly smallholder farmers, many of whom are unable to earn a reliable living from the coffee they produce. When you choose Fairtrade coffee, producers are guaranteed to receive at least the Fairtrade Minimum Price for their coffee as well as the Fairtrade Premium, which they can invest as they choose, in areas such as productivity methods and community improvements.

Win £50 to spend on Fairtrade coffee at Greggs promo image

With Greggs reopening, it’s the perfect time to celebrate their fantastic 15 year commitment to Fairtrade coffee. In that time, Greggs have contributed over £4.4 million in Fairtrade Premium, supporting farmers who are facing many challenges — from record low market prices to the negative effects of climate change. That money goes directly to farmers to invest in their communities, grow their businesses and produce high-quality coffee.

Get involved for your chance to win a £50 gift card to spend on Greggs Fairtrade coffee.

Make sure you keep looking out for the FAIRTRADE Mark when you shop so that farmers and workers can get a fair price for their work, control their future and lead the dignified life everyone deserves.

The competition will run on Facebook and Instagram from Friday 31 July to Monday 3 August 2020.
