Your church, synagogue, mosque, temple or diocese can join the fight for fairer terms of trade by becoming a Fairtrade place of worship.

Fairtrade Place of Worship logo

There’s a brand new Fairtrade Places of Worship online platform for all churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, other places of worship and faith groups to apply for, or re-commit to Fairtrade status.

By supporting Fairtrade, your place of worship will become part of the Fairtrade movement. This new way of submitting your application and renewals means you will be able to print off your personalised certificate to proudly display in your place of worship. It also means you will be able to see how your Fairtrade journey has progressed over time since your initial application.

We only ask you to recommit every two years and tell us about all the fantastic ways you are supporting Fairtrade with.

Applying for the first time

Is your place of worship thinking of becoming a Fairtrade Place of Worship? You can now commit to the Fairtrade Places of Worship online platform signing up as a new user.

Once you have registered and verified your email address, you can begin your journey to achieving Fairtrade status. Please note if you have difficulty at this stage, it may be that your place of worship is already registered, in which case contact us at faiths@fairtrade.org.uk so that we can help you to activate your account.

Renewing your commitment

If your place of worship wishes to renew its Fairtrade status and you have already received your username, please go to the Fairtrade Places of Worship online platform. Sign in as an existing user and input your username and password. We look forward to seeing what you’ve been up to!

If you think you were previously awarded but you do not have a username or you are the new key contact, please email us at faiths@fairtrade.org.uk with the address, including postcode, of your place of worship.

Forgotten your password? No problem, just go to the Fairtrade Places of Worship online platform and click ‘I am an existing user’, enter your username, tick the ‘reset password’ box and submit.

Check out further information below and find out how to get your place of worship involved.
