Fairtrade Friday

On the last Friday of each month, we come together with companies and supporters to bring attention to the farmers and workers around the world, in some of the poorest countries, who grow the food we eat and make the clothes we wear.

Get involved with June Fairtrade Friday

Picnic season is upon us! It's a great opportunity to shake off the picnic blanket and come together with friends. Throw in some delicious food, drink and (fingers crossed) some British sun, and you're good to go. When you're thinking about what to put in your picnic basket, make sure you keep your eyes open for the Fairtrade Mark. This way you can be sure that the farmers and workers have been treated fairly and that their rights have been protected. These rights encompass economic, environmental and social dimensions of working conditions but also aim to amplify and strengthen the voice and choices of workers themselves.

Competition

Propercorn chocolate Propercorn sweet

This month we've teamed up with PROPERCORN to give two lucky winners a month's supply of either the Chocolate or Sweet flavour. The folks at PROPERCORN are passionate about their "Done Properly” ethos and believe that there shouldn’t have to be a compromise between health and taste.

Two of PROPERCORN’s flavours are Fairtrade; Sweet and Chocolate. They are made using Fairtrade sugar and the Chocolate popcorn is made with Fairtrade cocoa from Peru. Crunchy, chocolaty and downright delicious.

The competition will run on Instagram and Twitter from Friday 28 June to Monday 1 July 2019. Check out our profiles to see how to enter:
