Trustees are crucial for the success of Fairtrade, and now – at the beginning of our new five-year strategic period – there has never been a more important time to be a part of Fairtrade’s leadership.

We have two vacancies to join our Board as Trustees and are seeking high calibre individuals who will help support our talented workforce in tackling the urgent challenges faced by farmers and workers.

Our first vacancy is for Treasurer. As we embark on our new strategy, and emerge from the pandemic, we are looking to grow our position in the market, and drive an ambitious growth strategy. To that end, we are seeking an exceptional Trustee with experience in financial leadership at a senior level. Charity finance experience is not essential but would be a valuable asset.

For our second Trustee vacancy, we’re particularly interested to hear from those with a background in one or more of the following areas:

  • HR and safeguarding
  • Fundraising
  • Technology and digital transformation
  • The environment
  • Programme design and implementation
  • Public affairs
  • The Fairtrade grassroots campaign
