Fairtrade Places of Worship

How to become a Fairtrade Place of Worship or renew your Fairtrade status.

Churches, mosques, synagogues, temples and other places of worship across the UK have been at the heart of Fairtrade’s success since we began.

By supporting Fairtrade, your place of worship will become part of the global Fairtrade movement.

What does being a Fairtrade Place of Worship mean?

There are lots of ways to support Fairtrade, but just two core requirements to be awarded Fairtrade Place of Worship status.

  1. Use Fairtrade products wherever possible (at least tea, coffee and sugar) and share information about Fairtrade products with the wider congregation.
  2. Integrate Fairtrade into the life of your place of worship, at Fairtrade Fortnight or other times of the year. For example through events, stalls and worship.

We invite all Fairtrade Places of Worship to get creative with their promotion of Fairtrade! Thank you so much for your support.
