In this event, Sussex University Development Society will be joining the city’s Fairtrade group members to get insights on the evolution of Fairtrade, the impact of Covid-19 on farmers and workers and ethical consumption. Come to discuss the importance of promoting the voices of artisanal producers!

Host: Fairtrade Connections – Community Arts Festival
Join legendary fair trade campaigner – the father of the International Fairtrade Towns movement – in conversation with Writer in Residence for Kirklees, Christina Longden. Bruce will talk about his journey through fair trade and his approach to writing the book. (This event is supported by Kirklees Libraries.)
